About 588 and 241 codified miles southeast Manila and Cebu City respectively is Davao City.

This metropolis is known to be the major municipality market in BIMP-EAGA which stands for Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asian Growth Area - or commonly known as the growth polygon. The metropolis is considered to be the largest in Mindanao in respect to the land area. In the country, it is considered to be one of the most developed and progressive cities having the busiest cargo centers because of its international airport and harbors.

Davao City was nicknamed The City of Royalties or The Royal City because it has the existence of kings and queens, may not be persons but of nature.
