Pinoy TV: A Confirmation Of The Filipinos' Love For TV Entertainment

Outside of the Philippines, there are different television programs launched for the Filipinos. They are intended for the Filipinos living, working and visiting foreign countries.
Australia is among the numerous countries where are Filipinos are either living or working. In this connection, there are television programs created for Filipinos there. One of them is the Pinoy TV.
The Pinoy TV Music Lounge is another TV program in Australia specifically on Channel 31 in Melbourne, Australia. The program is dedicated to the Filipino-Ausralians residing across Darwin, Sydney and of course, Melbourne. It features:
* News
* Cultural events
* Cooking
* Filipino music
* Local Filipino music talents within Australia
The show is hosted by:
* "DJ Gwapz" who has his two own segments namely
* Joke of the Week, and;
* Fully Sakit Move of the Week
* "Ate G" or Giselle Gonzales
The following are among the segments of Pinoy TV
* "Lola Bingi". In Tagalog, it means Granny Deaf. Lola Bingi likewise calls and grants two cents on matters.
* Three videos from Filipino artists are featured weekly
* The Letter of the Week is primarily intended for teens. This segment often deals with the issues concerning teenagers.
More than the above-mentioned segments of the Pinoy TV Music Lounge, there are various sections of the program which tackles on the Philippine food and culture. Aside from that, there is Manuel the Monkey. He tells jokes to Ate G and in return, she either will laugh at them or do an explanation to DJ Gwapz.

In this page, you can see the specific timeslot, days and locations in Australia where they can be viewed. The broadcast times can change even without prior notice from the program. * About Pinoy TV - In this page, the program states that it is not a profiting television broadcast group. It is a community TV program that is operated by a few committed unpaid volunteers. The program was created in order to expand and create Television programs which are not only intended for the Filipino community across Australia but also to broader general public. Being a principally under-represented ethnic assembly within the typical media, it is aimed at providing a porthole for the viewers to gain an opportunity to have a good look at the Filipino community in Australia - the Philippines, the people and the culture.
